Are state filing fees included in the New Business Startup packages?

No, State Fees Are Separate

Our packages cover the paperwork and the process, EIN application, entity registration, election filings. The state's own filing fee is a separate cost paid directly to the state, it's not bundled into any tier.

Does payroll cost extra on top of bookkeeping?

Included at Growth and Strategic

Payroll processing is included starting at the Growth tier, up to 5 employees, not billed as a separate add-on.

If you need payroll for more employees, or you're not a bookkeeping client at all, ask us directly and we'll scope it for your situation.

Do I have to commit to a contract for monthly bookkeeping?

No Long-Term Contract Required

Bookkeeping is billed monthly, and you're not locked into a multi-year agreement. As your business grows or your needs change, you can move between tiers.

Do you charge a flat fee for tax preparation?

It Depends on the Return

Tax prep pricing depends on the complexity of your return. A straightforward personal return costs less than a business return with multiple entities.

If you're already a bookkeeping client, your annual return is included at every tier, no separate fee. Otherwise, reach out and we'll give you a real number for your specific situation.

How much does bookkeeping cost with District Tax?

New Business Startup is priced in three tiers: Starter, Pro, and Premium, depending on how much setup you need.

Starter covers the basics, EIN and entity registration
Pro adds S-Corp election filing and state tax registration
Premium adds payroll setup, a consultation, and a free month of bookkeeping

The dollar amount depends on your specific scope, number of accounts, employees, complexity, so we don't post one number that wouldn't be accurate for most people. Ask, and you'll get a straight answer.
