Can I switch bookkeeping tiers later if my business grows?

Yes, Tiers Aren't Fixed

Businesses change, and your tier doesn't have to stay fixed. If you add employees, need payroll, or want more detailed reporting, you can move up to Growth or Strategic whenever it makes sense.

Do I need to come into an office to work with District Tax?

Everything Can Be Handled Virtually

No. We're built to work with you virtually, wherever you are.

If you're in the Tampa Bay area and would rather sit down in person, that's available too. Clients in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area work with us fully virtually right now.

How does onboarding work for monthly bookkeeping?

Portal-Based Onboarding

Once you've picked a tier, you'll get access to our secure portal to upload documents and get set up.

From there, we handle monthly reconciliation and categorization on the schedule that fits your tier.

How do I get started if I just need my personal return filed?

Start Directly Through Our Portal

If you already know you just need a personal return filed, use the Start Your Tax Return option to begin directly through our secure portal, no consultation required.

If you'd rather talk it through first, that's available too.

How long does it take to set up a new business entity?

Depends on Your State

EIN and entity registration timelines depend on your state's own processing speed, which we don't control.

We'll give you a realistic expectation once we know your specific state and entity type.

What documents do I need to bring to get my taxes done?

What happens after I submit my documents through the portal?

We Review and Follow Up

Once your documents are in the portal, we go through them and message you directly through the same portal if we need anything else. You're not left wondering whether it was received.
