Can District Tax help with an ITIN application?

If you need an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number to file your return, we handle the W-7 application as part of tax preparation, it's not treated as a rushed afterthought.

Does District Tax handle both personal and business tax returns?

We don't split personal and business clients into different departments. The same team files both, whether you're an individual filing a straightforward return or a business with multiple entities.

Does District Tax offer certified payroll for government contractors?

Yes, Included at Growth and Strategic

If you're a government contractor or subcontractor with prevailing-wage reporting requirements, certified payroll and WH-347 reporting are handled as part of Growth and Strategic tier bookkeeping, no separate service to figure out.

Does District Tax provide services in Spanish?

Bilingual service isn't limited to translating documents, every conversation, from your first call to your filed return, can happen in English or Spanish.

Do I need to already have an LLC or corporation to work with District Tax?

No, We Work With Any Stage

Whether you're operating informally for the first time or you already have a formal entity, we work with you at whatever stage you're at, including helping you formalize if you haven't yet.

Do you handle back taxes or multi-year catch-up filing?

Yes, Catch-Up Filing Is Normal Here

If you're behind on filing, whether it's one year or several, we handle catch-up filing as a normal part of tax preparation, not as a special case we turn away.

Is tax planning included with bookkeeping, or is it separate?

Included at Strategic, Available Standalone

If you're on the Strategic tier, you get one planning session included each year. If you want more ongoing planning outside of that, standalone Tax Planning & Strategy is available as its own service.

What happens to my annual return if I'm already a bookkeeping client?

Included Automatically

If your books are already with us, your annual personal or business return is included as part of your bookkeeping tier, Essential through Strategic, you're not billed separately for it.

What's included in the Monthly Bookkeeping service?

Three Tiers of Coverage

Essential covers basic monthly bookkeeping for one account. Growth adds a second account, payroll for up to 5 employees, and quarterly filings. Strategic adds weekly reconciliation, full reporting, and an annual tax planning session.

What's the difference between the three New Business Startup tiers?

Starter, Pro, and Premium

Starter is EIN application and entity registration only. Pro adds S-Corp election filing and state sales tax and unemployment registration. Premium adds domain and email setup, payroll accounts, a consultation, and one free month of Essential-tier bookkeeping.
